Falconry is a 4,000-year-old Bedouin tradition — declared by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. For desert tribes, the falcon was not just a bird of prey, it was a partner, a provider, and a symbol of nobility.
This Desert Safari with Falconry Experience introduces you to that tradition through a live 30-minute demonstration led by a licensed master falconer. You'll learn about different falcon species (peregrine, saker, gyrfalcon), how they're trained, the tools used, and their role in Bedouin history. Then you'll have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hold a real falcon on your arm (with protective glove) for photos.
Of course, the tour also includes the full evening safari — dune bashing, quad bike, camel ride, live entertainment, and BBQ buffet — because no Dubai desert evening would be complete without them.

Absolutely — falcons are tethered and never allowed to fly freely near guests. You hold the bird with a thick leather glove (provided). The falconer stands beside you at all times. No risk.
Our falconer has 4 falcons: typically Peregrine, Saker, Gyrfalcon, and a Lanner. Species present depends on the day & their training schedule. At least 2 are always in the demonstration.
Yes — children 6+ can hold the falcon with adult supervision. The falconer helps every guest individually. Kids under 6 can watch & photograph but not hold.
Yes — choose the Private Falconry Safari for a dedicated 60-minute session just for your group. Very popular for photographers & families.
Our falcons are captive-bred, well-cared-for, and never harmed. They fly free & return to the falconer — this is a respectful cultural demonstration, not hunting. If concerned, you can skip this tour and enjoy our other safaris.
