Learn to kite at Dubai's legendary Kite Beach with an IKO-certified instructor. Warm water, consistent winds, and perfect learning conditions year-round.
Kitesurfing is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the world — and Dubai is one of the best places to learn. Warm water (28°C most of the year), reliable winds, and no ocean currents make it ideal for beginners.
Our IKO-certified instructors teach in small groups or private lessons at Kite Beach (Umm Suqeim), Dubai's official kite spot. Every lesson starts on the beach with kite control training, then moves to the water for body dragging (learning to use the kite's power), and finally to board starts (getting up on the board).
You'll be using current-season North, Cabrinha or Duotone kites with twin-tip boards. Full safety gear (helmet, impact vest) provided. Lessons run 2-3 hours and can be split across multiple days for a complete beginner course.
Learn wind direction, kite setup, safety systems & hand signals. Fly a small trainer kite on the beach.
Fly a real kite in shallow water. Learn to steer, power up & release. Body drag practice.
Use kite power to drag yourself through the water in a straight line — the key skill before boarding.
Attach your board. Learn to stand up, edge & ride short distances. Most students stand by end of session 4.
Ride on the water upwind & downwind. Build speed, control & confidence. First proper kitesurfing!

No — kitesurfing lessons are designed for complete beginners. 90% of our students have never kited before. As long as you can swim 25 meters, you're ready to start.
Most students get up on the board by the end of the first 2-hour lesson. Riding independently (upwind, turning) typically takes 6-10 hours total — most guests reach this after 3-5 sessions.
Kite Beach has winds ~70% of the year. On no-wind days, we reschedule at no cost or issue a full refund. We monitor wind forecasts 48 hours ahead and confirm all bookings the day before.
Kids 10+ can learn kitesurfing with parental consent. Smaller kites & lighter bars are used. Life jackets mandatory for all minors.
IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) is the global standard for kitesurfing instruction. Certifications are recognised at kite spots worldwide — useful for renting gear on future trips. The card costs AED 100 extra.

"Bought the discovery lesson for my wife's birthday. She loved it so much we booked the full course. The instructor was fantastic — safety first, but always fun."
